Monique brings a unique mix of product, operations, and information security experience — shaped by 15+ years leading transformation programmes across technology, publishing, and financial services.

She was most recently COO of a Legal AI company, where she implemented their ISMS and got them ISO 27001 certified in less than 6 months - and has previously worked with major organisations including Zurich Insurance, Bank Julius Baer, and the American Arbitration Association, delivering AI-powered compliance tools and leading data protection initiatives.

Monique has a natural affinity for early-stage and growth-focused businesses, with deep experience supporting product and operational leaders in aligning with ISO and GRC standards. She is particularly interested in the human side of information security — ensuring that policies and processes are embedded in a way that makes sense for real teams in real life.

Fun fact: Monique was born near the rainforest outside Rio de Janeiro and moved to London 20 years ago to study law. Faced with a choice between a legal career and a rollercoaster ride in tech, she chose the latter — and hasn’t looked back since.
